A NOTE FROM OUR ASST. PRINCIPAL

Do you remember the old saying, “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me”?
As we know, words do hurt. You may have seen the poster to the left around the building that reminds us that words can hurt or heal. The poster gives various examples of how the words we speak can hurt or uplift others. For example, offer to help someone, invite someone to play on the playground and call others by their name.
I’ve challenged students to use their words to uplift, encourage, and spread positivity each day. In doing this, we can spread kindness and promote a positive environment.
